Kasey Kahne to become NASCAR’s newest dad

NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne revealed Wednesday that he will take on a new role in the fall. Kahne and girlfriend Sam Sheets are expecting their first child in October.  Kahne told ESPN’s Marty Smith that the boy is expected on October 10.

I’m really excited to have this type of life-changing experience,” Kahne told Smith. “I can’t wait to be the best dad I can possibly be.”

The 35-year-old native of Enumclaw Washington currently races the No. 5 Chevy for Hendrick Motorsports full time in NASCAR’s top tier Sprint Cup series. He has also raced part time for JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity series this season.MORE>>>
