Stewart Friesen led the most laps at Texas Motor Speedway, but only one really counted. While he led 60 laps of the SpeedyCash.com 200, he won by just 0.122 seconds after a last lap pass in overtime Friday night.

Friesen had lined up second to Christian Eckes for the final restart. After a side-by-side battle, he passed Eckes to score his third Camping World Truck Series victory, and his first since 2019.

He thanked his team at Halmar-Friesen Racing: “We had an awesome truck – thanks so much to Chris Larson and everyone at Halmar International. The whole group, there’s a huge office there that pulls for us every week. So excited to celebrate with them.”

“I’m terrible on restarts and that was probably the best one on old tires,” he added of the move that gave him the win. “Didn’t spin the tires, got a jump, and threw a slider in [turns] one and two and it stuck.”

Eckes led 40 laps of the night, but couldn’t make the move at the end to win. “Just didn’t have lane position,” he said. “It is what it is.”

“It’s been kind of a rough stretch here for a little bit,” Eckes added. “I’m glad to show that we can actually be here and win races. The wins will come and we’re hungrier than ever.”

Ryan Preece recovered from damage after mid-race contact with Eckes to score a third-place finish. Carson Hocevar and Ty Majeski both scored top fives as well. Polesitter John Hunter Nemechek finished sixth – after driving through the field twice, with an unapproved adjustment at the start and a pit strategy call towards the end.

The Camping World Truck Series returns at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday.
