Trackhouse Racing, already a presence in NASCAR and MotoGP, announced it will expand its motorsports portfolio to include IMSA, entering the 63rd Rolex 24 at Daytona in January. The team will partner with TF Sport to field a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the GT Daytona (GTD) PRO class.

The No. 91 Corvette will be fielded under the name “Trackhouse by TF Sport.” The driver lineup features a mix of talent from various racing disciplines: NASCAR drivers Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch, IndyCar star Scott McLaughlin, and veteran sports car racer Ben Keating.

Trackhouse owner and founder Justin Marks, who has personal history with the Rolex 24, expressed his long-held ambition to compete in the endurance race. “Participating in the Rolex 24 has been a dream since the inception of Trackhouse Racing,” Marks said. He emphasized the team’s focus on assembling a competitive program, highlighting the partnership with Chevrolet and TF Sport, as well as the driver lineup.

This move marks another step in Trackhouse’s expansion strategy. The organization has competed in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2021, achieving eight victories with drivers Ross Chastain, Daniel Suárez, and van Gisbergen. In 2024, Trackhouse also entered the MotoGP arena, marking the return of an American team to the premier motorcycle racing series after more than a decade.

Marks underscored the significance of the Rolex 24 entry, noting the international composition of the driver lineup with two Americans (Zilisch and Keating) and two New Zealanders (van Gisbergen and McLaughlin). He also reiterated the importance of selecting strong partners like TF Sport and Chevrolet, citing the high level of competition in the 24-hour race.

The driver roster boasts impressive credentials. Van Gisbergen is a three-time Supercars champion and made a splash in NASCAR by winning his Cup Series debut in Chicago in 2023. Zilisch, at just 18 years old, has already won the LMP2 class at the Rolex 24 and achieved victories in the Xfinity Series, ARCA, and CARS Tour. McLaughlin has three Supercars titles and seven IndyCar wins to his name, also securing the pole position for the 2024 Indianapolis 500 with a record-breaking qualifying speed. Keating brings extensive sports car experience, including a GTD class win at the Rolex 24, IMSA LMP2 championships, and two Le Mans victories.

TF Sport, founded in 2014, has established itself as a successful GT endurance racing team with victories at the Spa 24 Hours and Le Mans 24 Hours, as well as a World Endurance Championship title. The team also has recent experience with Corvette Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, based on the production Corvette Z06, is entering its second season of competition. In 2024, the car achieved 11 race wins and secured the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup GTD PRO Manufacturers Championship for Chevrolet. Five Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs are expected to compete in the upcoming Rolex 24.

The Trackhouse by TF Sport team will make its on-track debut at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 test session from Jan. 16-19, followed by practice and qualifying leading up to the 24-hour race on Jan. 23-26.
