Allgaier signs with Phoenix Racing

Justin Allgaier will be the driver of the No. 51 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet SS during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season the team announced in an emailed press release Tuesday.

Allgaier, finished fifth in the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship points and will be a candidate for the NASCAR Rookie of the Year award. He made four NASCAR Sprint Cup series starts with the same team last season; his best finish was a 24th at Talladega in October.

“This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I intend to make the most of it,” said Allgaier in a team press release. “I am very grateful to Harry Scott and BRANDT for having faith in me to compete against the best drivers in the world.” MORE>>>
