The NASCAR world exploded Saturday night as Denny Hamlin finally addressed the whispers swirling around his future in the sport after a completely average finish at Bristol. Fans have been speculating for weeks — would he retire? Would he not? Would he go full-time in pickleball?
Hamlin answered all of that with a cryptic, possibly soul-altering quote:
“We’ll just keep doing what we’re doing and see what happens.”
The garage was stunned into silence. One part-time tire specialist, who asked not to be named, told us, “I read that as a maybe yes. Or a hard maybe no. Either way, I’m shook.”
Social media immediately reacted with hashtags like #HamlinGate, #RetireNotRetire, and #WhatDidHeMeanByThat.
