It wasn’t long ago that Chandler Smith faced an uncertain future, worrying about whether he’d have a ride for next season. Fast forward to Friday, and the 22-year-old finds himself in a prime position, joining Front Row Motorsports (FRM) for an exciting new chapter in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS).

FRM, fresh off their championship success in the NCTS, has announced an expansion to their program for 2025. The team will field a second Ford F-150, with Smith behind the wheel — a move that not only strengthens FRM’s lineup but signals their intent to dominate the series.

Smith is no stranger to the Truck Series. With five wins, 24 top-fives, and 35 top-tens from his previous stints, combined with an impressive 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign (two wins, 17 top-fives, and 22 top-tens), he arrives at FRM in strong form.

“I’m excited to join Front Row Motorsports’ truck program,” said Smith. “They’ve proven themselves as top contenders in the Truck Series with championships and wins. I like what they’re building here, and I’m honored to be part of it. Sure, we’re getting a late start, but the caliber of talent we’re assembling for 2025 has me confident about what we can achieve.”

Smith’s debut with FRM will come at the iconic Daytona International Speedway in the Fresh From Florida 250, a race the team has won twice before. With that kind of history — and Smith’s own proven ability — expectations are high.

Details regarding the truck number, sponsors, and FRM’s full 2025 lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks. But one thing is clear: Front Row Motorsports is raising the stakes in the Truck Series, and Chandler Smith is ready to seize the opportunity.
