Travis Pastrana is headed back to Daytona, and if you think the Truck Series is ready for him, think again.
The 11-time X Games gold medalist and action-sports legend will take the wheel of the No. 42 Chevrolet for Niece Motorsports in the season-opening Fresh From Florida 250 on Feb. 13, 2026. This marks Pastrana’s first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start since 2023—and his return comes with all the chaos, drafting, and multi-truck mayhem Daytona is known for.
Pastrana knows Daytona. He’s run here before, including an 11th-place finish in 2023, and he’s hungry to see how far he can push things next. “It will be fun to get behind the wheel again and see what we can do,” Pastrana said. “Daytona is always wild, and I’m excited to team up with Niece Motorsports for this race. Racing with BRUNT on board just made sense—it’s been a great partnership, and now we get to bring it to the track.”
Like Pastrana, Niece Motorsports and their partners thrive on the unpredictable. The Fresh From Florida 250 is a 100-lap, 250-mile short superspeedway event that eats mistakes for breakfast, where lead changes and big wrecks come as a package deal. Experience counts, but bravery counts more.
“It’s been incredibly rewarding to work with Travis again,” said Cody Efaw, CEO of Niece Motorsports. “He’s genuine, fearless, and he fits perfectly with the Niece Motorsports style. Bringing him back to Daytona is going to be exciting for the fans and for everyone in the garage.”
Pastrana’s blend of motorsports experience, pure daring, and familiarity with high-speed chaos makes him a perfect candidate to shake things up in the Truck Series opener. Fans can catch the action live on FS1 at 7:30 p.m. ET from Daytona International Speedway.
Daytona isn’t just a race. It’s a storm of speed, aggression, and unpredictability—and Pastrana has a way of turning every one of those elements into a spectacle. The Trucks will be ready. The question is whether anyone else on the track will be.
