1946: Neil Bonnett, an 18-time winner in NASCAR’s premier series, is born. Bonnett, an original member of the famed Alabama Gang, was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998 and enjoyed a second career as a popular broadcaster.
