Noah Gragson has been cleared by NASCAR to return to competition the Legacy Motor Club team said Wednesday.
Gragson suffered injuries in a crash during the June 4 race is St. Louis. He was initially evaluated and released from the infield care center. Later that week the team said that after returning home Gragson started suffering symptoms mid-week and was seeking treatment.
The team called on GMS Racing and NASCAR Truck Series veteran Grant Enfinger to drive the No. 42 at the following week’s race at Sonoma. Enfinger finished 26th.
The series took a weekend off and now Gragson will return for Sunday night’s race at Nashville Superspeedway. His best finish this season is 12th at Atlanta, and he is currently 33rd in points. The team said NASCAR has given Gragson a waiver for playoff eligibility.
