Who can win the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025?

Sharing is caring

The NASCAR Cup Series 2025 season is underway, and even though it’s still a while till the Championship race on November 2, we’re already seeing a picture of possible winners. Several star racers from the previous series are dominating, and others are showing flashes of brilliance that could shake up the rankings as the season progresses. We think the five drivers below are the best bets for the title.

Kyle Larson, Chevrolet

Larson has been the favorite to win the trophy since February. He took a backseat to Blaney for a few weeks in March but went back to being the odds-on favorite following his win at Bristol, where he led for a whopping 411 laps. Larson won the title in 2021 and earned a series-high six victories in 2024. At the time of writing, he’s already bagged two wins in the 2025 Series, one at Bristol and earlier at Homestead-Miami.

Christopher Bell, Toyota

Bell won three consecutive races from late February to early March. This propelled him to the top of the standings. He’s also had two consecutive top-three finishes in Martinsville and Darlington. Odds can fluctuate with every race as drivers move up and down the standings, but we don’t think there’ll be too much movement for Bell. He’s made the podium more than any other driver this season and doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Danny Hamlin, Toyota

Hamlin achieved back-to-back wins at Martinsville and Darlington. He might have made it three wins at Bristol if Larson weren’t so dominant. Hamlin holds the record for most wins in the series without securing a championship title, so this could be the good year for him. He’s not the bookies’ favorite, but he may offer better value. His Championship odds are 7.00 at bet365, and you can use the Bet365 sportsbook promo code “Cheekypunter” to claim a bonus offer. You’ll get $30 free bets, which you can use to back these odds.

William Byron, Chevrolet

Winning the inaugural Cup race, Byron couldn’t have started the series in any better way. He has since achieved three top fives at Circuit of the Americas, Las Vegas, and Darlington, where he led 243 laps. This is the most laps led ever in the iconic track and second in all of NASCAR history, after Jeff Burton at New Hampshire in the year 2000.

Ryan Blaney, Ford

Blaney is another guy who has what it takes to win. He won the title in 2023 and came runner-up in 2024. His consistency in the previous seasons established him as a top contender, and he looks to be going down a similar route this year. He’s yet to secure a victory, but he’s definitely one to watch out for, and the bookies think so too.

Several stars are emerging as top contenders based on performance so far. Drivers like Larson, Blaney, Bell, Hamlin, and Byron are names you’ll be hearing about often over the course of the next few months.
