1984: Pole winner Cale Yarborough comes out ahead after a whopping 75 lead changes to edge Harry Gant by two car-lengths for a thrilling victory at Talladega Superspeedway. No driver had led more than 10 laps in a single stint until Gant led 13 straight, just before Yarborough’s last-lap pass. Buddy Baker wound up third.
