Tony Stewart wears many hats. As a three time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion he has obligations to keep. As part owner of Stewart-Haas Racing he also has to wear the “boss” hat as he helps run the operation for four NASCAR Sprint Cup teams including his. However, Stewart is also a track owner having purchased Eldora Speedway in Rossburg Oh. in 2004.
After lobbying NASCAR for several years, albeit in somewhat humorous manner , last year Stewart got what every track operator dreams of; a coveted date with one of NASCAR’s top touring series, the Camping World Truck Series. After a successful run last year the series returns this week. Stewart took time to meet with the media Monday ahead of this week’s Eldora race.
