In one of the most dramatic finishes in recent NASCAR history, Kyle Busch won the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway Sunday. The win was his first career Sprint Cup victory at the Fontana CA. track and for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Busch shot to the front on the final corner of the final lap while leaders Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin came together while battling for the lead.  As the lead duo began to crash, Busch rocketed to the outside and onto victory.

The action came after the race’s final restart with ten laps to go. Busch who had led the most laps on the day, 125, slid back to third as Logano took the lead with eight laps to go. It looked as though for the third time in three years Busch would lead the most laps at the 2 mile speedway only to fail to win the race as the final duel came down to Logano and Hamlin who tangled during the race and scuffled after the event at Bristol last week.   As the white flag fell, Logano and Hamlin battled for the lead with Hamlin sneaking by on the outside as the final lap started. The two continued neck and neck as they entered the turn three with Hamlin on the outside and Logano just below. The two came together and began to crash allowing Busch to shoot by on the outside.
