So it’s over, the racetracks are empty the drivers have gone away and the racing is done for 2011. We are now in the early days of what’s known as the NASCAR off season. For some fans it’s time to step away from the sport for a few months. For others though, NASCAR is almost like an addiction. It’s a habit that needs a fix, a fix that won’t happen over the long cold winter to come.
For those rabid NASCAR fans it almost takes an intervention to break the NASCAR habit. It’s for them and the rest of us that we offer the following suggestions to help break the NASCAR habit for a while and get us all through the NASCAR off season.
-Watch something on TV other than RaceDay built by the Home Depot and no the races you DVR’d during the season don’t count, although reruns of Talladega Nights are perfectly acceptable.
-Reconnect with family and non-NASCAR friends, most of whom haven’t seen you since the Bud Shootout last February. MORE>>>
