Action Sports star Travis Pastrana’s much anticipated NASCAR debut has been put on an indefinite hold after the 27 year old broke his right foot and ankle Thursday night while competing in ESPN’s X Games.
During the Moto Best Trick competition, Pastrana attempted to try a ‘TP Roll’ which involves a corkscrew combined with a double back flip. After falling on the first attempt, he immediately tried the trick again landing on his right side. Pastrana got up slowly then with help from medical personal limped to the side of the track before being helped off.
Pastrana has competed in some regional NASCAR events ahead of his planned National series debut at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis Saturday night. He had planned to fly back and forth from Indy and California to compete in both the NASCAR event and the X Games, however after Thursday’s injury, Pastrana will now require surgery on the broken foot and ankle; he will also have treatment for ligaments in his hand that he hurt earlier in the week while practicing for the X Games.MORE>>>
