Carl Edwards became a proficient user of the social networking site Facebook in 2009 and this week turned to his Facebook fans for help: “My mother (Nancy Sterling) has lost her bracelet that has #99 and #60 charms to represent each win we’ve had in NASCAR,” Edwards posted Tuesday.

“You would be her hero if you find it. If you spot it anywhere (eBay?), it would mean a lot if you would post it here. Thanks!”

Edwards later added: “Most likely lost in Columbia (his hometown in Missouri). 25 percent chance it was in Homestead (site of NASCAR’s season-ending race last Sunday). Thank you. She will feel better that the word is out!”
